Over the past 3 months, EyeCare4Kids served patrons at all of The Road Home Emergency Shelter Resource Centers with its mobile vision clinics. The centers, located in Salt Lake City and Midvale, include the Pamela Atkinson Resource Center, Gail Miller Resource Center and Midvale Family Resource Center.
The Road Home is a nonprofit social services agency that assists individuals and families experiencing homelessness in Salt Lake County and along the Wasatch Front.
“The Road Home is a special organization with a mission to instill hope and inclusion for those struggling with poverty and homelessness,” said Maggie Cline, Executive Director of EyeCare4Kids Utah. “Our volunteers and professional staff value the opportunity to provide valuable eye care services and add our support and encouragement to those working to improve their life situations.”
Among the services provided were vision screenings, eye exams, and custom fitted eyeglasses.
