On March 25th, Salt Lake County Health Department hosted the annual Safe Kids Fair at Mountain America Expo Center in Sandy. The event provided free information, demonstrations and hands-on activities to help families learn how to be safe at home, school and in their communities.
Of course, EyeCare4Kids was on site providing free vision screenings.
Our staff was joined by five volunteers from Joyce University who helped us screen nearly 250 people.
The fair organizers marketed special guest appearances by Spider-Man throughout the event, but SEE-MORE was clearly a fan favorite.
“We value the opportunity to interact with our community and reach kids and families that might not otherwise have the opportunity for vision screenings,” said Maggie Mitchell-Cline, executive director of EyeCare4Kids Utah. “This event offered a great opportunity to engage with people, showcase our services, build awareness for the need for accessible eye care and network with our great volunteer partners.”
