Sponsored by the American Optometric Association, this month serves as a reminder to take time to focus on your vision. Our vision often changes as we grow and mature, so it’s important to be mindful of what we are experiencing. Many of us are tethered to our electronic devices in this increasingly digital world. These devices emit glaring blue light causing strain on our eyes. Remember to practice the 20/20/20 rule to help reduce the impact on your vision. For every 20 minutes you are utilizing an electronic device, look away from that device and focus on something at least 20 feet away for 20 seconds. This will give your eyes a break from the strain. It’s also a great idea to drink some water during those 20 seconds. If your body is hydrated, your eyes will be as well!
