On December 6, 2022, EyeCare4Kids took the Utah Mobile Vision Clinic to the Utah Valley Refugee Center in Provo for its Christmas party.
We appreciate all those that made this clinic possible, giving many people the gift of better sight this holiday season. Specifically, we wish to thank Intermountain Community Care Foundation; they are the organization that provided EyeCare4Kids the grant to serve the refugee population in Utah.
Joining us for this Mobile Vision Clinic was SEE-MORE Bear, as well as a team of highly qualified and skilled professionals who travel with the clinic to perform eye exams and screenings.
SEE-MORE is clearly a favorite among the clinic patients, old and young.
We provided exams to 45 people, and as a result, we are making 24 pairs of glasses. Dr. Trevor Smith, OD, pointed out that only three people had glasses to begin with.
“What a great opportunity to bring our eye care services to the refugee center where many of the residents have never met with an eye doctor or experienced an eye exam,” said Dr. Smith.
