It’s fall in Southern Nevada! The weather is gorgeous, kids are into the swing of things at school and our state flower, the orange construction cones, are everywhere! But to put a “glass is half full” spin on it, that means improvement for our roads and infrastructure. Just keep reminding yourself of that as you have to merge from three lanes to one four times on your way home from work! Speaking of construction, we would like to thank all of our patients for their patience as the work continues all around us at our Brinley Middle School Clinic. It’s a little adventure each day, but we know it will be great when completed. Glass is half full . . .!
At EyeCare4Kids, we are all taking that “glass is half full” attitude as we look toward the future and continue our work to provide our community with crucial vision care. We love strengthening our relationships with fellow nonprofits such as Future Smiles, Communities In Schools and Golden Rainbow and creating new relationships with organizations such as The Just One Project. We are all serving populations with high needs in very different ways but, together, we can touch on nearly all of those critical needs.In order to do the work we do, it is imperative to have supporters and donors who believe in our mission and understand the gap we are filling each day. We would like to extend an incredibly heartfelt thank you to Cox Communications and Cox Charities, Gene Haas Foundation and The William H. and Mattie Wattis Harris Foundation for the grant awards totaling $28,000! Our connection to our donors is fundamental to our success in providing care and we cannot thank them enough for choosing to help our patients SEE their futures clearly!
