This summer, the EyeCare4Kids Africa team proudly partnered with Yashika Bhana from Eye C U in Benoni to bring essential vision care to high school students who had been struggling with their eyesight. Yashika generously provided free eye exams, and EyeCare4Kids Africa is ensuring that each child receives free prescription glasses, giving them the tools they need to succeed in the classroom and beyond.

EyeCare4Kids Africa also joined hands with the South African Optometric Association (SAOA) and the University of the Western Cape’s Faculty of Community and Health Sciences for a school outreach in the Western Cape. During this initiative, children received vision screenings and eye exams, after which EyeCare4Kids Africa provided spectacles to those in need—helping ensure no child is left behind due to poor vision.
So far in 2025, EyeCare4Kids Africa has delivered more than 22,000 vision care services across communities. By working with dedicated partners and local professionals, the organization continues to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children who might otherwise go without the critical vision support they need to thrive.
