In 2024, we made significant strides in our mission to provide essential vision care to underserved communities, both locally and globally. This year saw the expansion of mobile vision clinic trips to new rural areas, including Monument Valley, Richfield, and Nephi, ensuring that individuals in remote regions receive vital eye care.
We also celebrated the grand opening of our newest clinic in Ogden, further strengthening our community presence and outreach.
Our partnerships grew as well, with new collaborations with Special Olympics, Rocky Mountain University School of Optometry, WIC clinics and Charity Vision, which helped extend services to those with unique needs, including athletes and underserved populations.
EyeCare4Kids Utah also expanded our school outreach, visiting schools in nearby districts, and continued supporting refugee centers and homeless shelters to address the needs of vulnerable populations. These initiatives, combined with the continued growth of EyeCare4Kids Nevada mobile vision clinic trips in the Clark County School District, the fifth largest school district in the nation, helped expand the organization’s impact across the country.
Mobile efforts reached new heights with increased outreach to remote reservations in Arizona, including Havasupai and Peach Springs, where access to vision care remains limited. We have provided nearly 50 pairs of prescription eyeglasses through this new program.
Internationally, we made significant progress in our expanded outreach efforts, particularly in South Africa, where the organization has been working to provide eye care to underserved communities.
A major highlight of 2024 was being selected to be part of the #LightTheWorld Giving Machines initiative. While more details on the results will be shared soon, this opportunity helped raise awareness and support for our work, allowing us to reach even more people in need.
In the final month of 2024, EyeCare4Kids partnered with Rocky Mountain University School of Optometry to conduct two mobile vision clinics within the Davis School District. During these events, we provided 127 eye exams and 101 pairs of prescription eyeglasses to students in need. This successful collaboration highlights our continued commitment to expanding access to vision care in local school districts and ensuring that every child has the opportunity to see clearly and succeed.
In total, EyeCare4Kids provided over 60,000 vision care services in 2024, a milestone made possible only through the generous support of donors and volunteers (like you). Thank you!
We remain dedicated to ensuring that everyone—regardless of location or circumstance—has access to the vision care they need.
