EyeCare4Kids, in collaboration with Rocky Mountain University and Charity Vision Sight Buddies, recently concluded its third mobile clinic in Sanpete County.
Over the past few months, the partnership has been instrumental in delivering crucial services to residents of Moroni, Mt. Pleasant, Ephraim, Manti, and Gunnison. The EyeCare4Kids mobile clinic has provided over 280 sets of eyeglasses and provided hundreds more eye exams to those in need.
For many individuals in these communities, access to vision care can be challenging due to various barriers, including financial constraints and limited healthcare resources. The presence of the mobile clinic has alleviated some of these challenges by bringing comprehensive eye care directly to the neighborhoods where it is needed most.
The collaboration between EyeCare4Kids, Rocky Mountain University, and Charity Vision Sight Buddies exemplifies the power of partnerships in addressing pressing healthcare needs. By combining resources and expertise, these organizations have been able to extend their reach and impact, ensuring that more individuals receive the vision care they require to lead healthy and productive lives.
Beyond providing eyeglasses and eye exams, the mobile clinic also raises awareness of the importance of regular eye care and early detection of vision problems. By engaging with the community and offering educational resources, the partnership aims to empower individuals to take proactive steps in safeguarding their eye health.
“We are dedicated to expanding access to vision care services and making a positive difference in the lives of individuals and families throughout Sanpete County and beyond,” said Maggie Cline, executive director of EyeCare4Kids Utah. “Through continued collaboration and outreach, we can create a future where everyone has the opportunity to better vision and a brighter future.”
