EyeCare4Kids Arizona (EC4K AZ) is officially recognized as an Arizona Charitable Organization, and now accepts donations via the tax credit offered by the State of Arizona. Supporters of EC4K AZ may claim a personal tax credit for the amount of their contribution (up to $400 for individuals and $800 for couples filing jointly). This is not just a tax deduction – it’s a tax credit that reduces the amount of state taxes owed!
Through the Arizona State program a person can claim multiple tax credits to various qualified organizations such as EyeCare4Kids AZ, foster care and education, etc., to reach the total of the state tax due for the year. The qualifying gift can be made as a one-time donation, spread out across the year with smaller quarterly or monthly gifts. Two Arizona tax credit forms (Form 321 and Form 301) need to be completed and submitted when state taxes are filed.
“The Arizona tax credit gives you the unique opportunity to direct your tax dollars to local, qualifying charities and organizations that matter to you,” said Cecil Swyers, senior executive director of EyeCare4Kids Arizona. “For each dollar donated, you receive either a credit to reduce your tax liability or a reimbursement to increase your tax refund, and you can support the great work of EC4K AZ!”
Gifts made to EC4K AZ enable the organization to provide no cost professional eye exams, vision screening and glasses to low-income, visually impaired children and underserved families. Services are offered in the organization’s Alhambra Vision Clinic in Glendale, Arizona, as well as on-site visits to local schools, Native American reservations and rural communities in the Mobile Vision Clinic.
Checks can be mailed directly to: EyeCare4Kids Arizona Chapter Inc., 2630 E. Mohawk Lane #136, Phoenix, AZ 85050. The EyeCare4Kids Tax ID # is EIN 81-0788245 and the Qualifying Charitable Organization (QCO) Code is: 22510.
