Denver Broncos’ quarterback, Russell Wilson, and his pop star spouse, Ciara, have committed to a generous donation of $1 million to ten charitable organizations in the Denver area, including EyeCare4Kids. Each of these organizations will receive a substantial grant of $100,000.
In a heartfelt message shared on social media, Wilson expressed his profound gratitude for the opportunity to positively influence the lives of young people. He posted pictures of himself and Ciara presenting oversized checks at the Broncos’ practice facility, symbolizing their commitment to the Denver, Colorado community. Their philanthropic efforts were made possible through the Why Not You Foundation and CommonSpirit.
The Why Not You Foundation, founded by Russell Wilson and Ciara, is dedicated to creating a positive impact in the lives of children and communities. Previously, the foundation primarily focused its efforts in the Seattle area. However, with Russell Wilson now playing a prominent role with the Broncos, the couple has shifted their attention to the Denver region.
Russell Wilson shared his enthusiasm for the cause, stating:
“Today, we celebrated ten deserving organizations, each of which will receive $100,000 to support their incredible work in areas such as health equity, education, food security, social justice, and support for children and youth.”
He emphasized the value of their partnership in effecting meaningful change in Colorado through the Why Not You Foundation.
