Eye Care 4 Kids announces 2015 Catch the Vision Campaign
The fundraiser seeks to raise $1 million through non-profit crowdfunding platform Crowdrise.
SALT LAKE CITY (April 13, 2015) — To fund ongoing nationwide expansion, outreach to rural areas, and to serve its current waiting list of thousands of children, Utah-based nonprofit Eye Care 4 Kids is seeking to raise $1 million through nonprofit crowdfunding.
Each level of funding will allow Eye Care 4 Kids to serve children in need of eye care services, ranging from “The Gift of Sight,” which includes an eye exam and glasses, to purchasing much-needed eye exam equipment, sending mobile outreach tours to reservations and other rural areas, and global service trips. If the Catch the Vision campaign is completely funded, Eye Care 4 Kids will be able to purchase and outfit a new mobile eye care clinic.
“Crowdfunding is an exciting new way for Eye Care 4 Kids to further our mission of providing professional eye care to underserved children from low-income families,” said Eye Care 4 Kids founder, Joseph Carbone. “Every donation we receive to the Catch the Vision campaign — no matter how big or small — helps us to reach children desperately in need of eye care services.”
Donations to the fundraiser will be through Crowdrise, an online crowdfunding platform similar to Kickstarter that is tailored exclusively to nonprofits and other charitable causes. Notable Crowdrise fundraisers include the 2014 Boston Marathon, which raised more than $30 million dollars for charity and other fundraisers from celebrities such as Seth Rogen, Kristen Bell and Eminem.
Public donations of all amounts will be accepted. To contribute to the Catch the Vision campaign and to learn more, please visit http://www.ec4k.org.
